Why We need your Support?

Home Buying Assistance Program Grant

Utah has 116,000 veterans living in Utah, which is 5% of the Utah population and only 7.4% of those veterans own their own home.  Unfortunately, our men and women in uniform are not taking advantage of home ownership.  In this same study, when asked why, nearly half said that it was because they could not afford to do so based on the down payment and closing costs to purchase a home What if there was a program that could provide some out of pocket financial relief for our military family and veterans so that they could buy a home and achieve the American Dream? Afterall, doesn’t everyone, especially our veterans, deserve to pursue their American dream of home ownership.

The military instills a set of ethos of Duty, Honor and country.   We should in like-kind honor them any way that we possibly can.  Our military veterans swear an oath to “Defend and Serve” our country in protection of our freedoms here at home.  Without their sacrifice, we would not have the liberties that we have today.

Utahans are very patriotic and supportive of our military men and women of our Armed Forces buy providing military first time home buyer grants and loan assistance, property tax rebates for Disabled Vets, state park passes and have placed a bill on the legislative floor for veterans affordable housing. But to date, Utah legislature has not been able to provide enough incentives/assistance for the average military family or veteran to want to buy a home in Utah.
